I'm not that into jewelry. Aside from wearing my wedding band, the only jewelry I wear is statement earrings on occasion. Though lately, I'm finding myself more and more into everyday statement earrings — like orbital or geometric shapes, mixed metals, understated hoops and modern day variations on pearls. It's the minimalist meets maximalist concept.
After falling in love with these rose gold quartz studs by Giant Lion (a gift from my dear friend Catherine of Plan de Ville), I recently I discovered these baroque pearl earrings by Melissa Joy Manning, and they are quickly becoming my new everyday pair. So much so that I just ordered these delicate 14K gold hoops to rotate in. When I'm not wearing barely-there studs, I also flirt with oversized and ornamental earrings, too. One of my favorite pairs of gold hammered double-drop earrings I found on The Outnet last year (sadly no longer available online but similar to this pair) have been on rotation after new-found inspiration (see below).
