the fall 18 edit

a structured blazer,

I bought this navy Balenciaga blazer in Paris. Not only is it a statement, but a wardrobe staple.

my favorite high waist denim,

if I had to choose one pair of denim these jeans would be it. The quality, fit and style is 10/10.

strappy sandals,

I won the vintage lottery when I found these never-been-worn Gucci (by Tom Ford era) strappy sandals in my size. I have since been wearing them with baggy trousers and denim with oversized sweaters.

a reliable grey knit turtleneck,

this perfect knit turtleneck will be on rotation all season long.

and a cool trench coat, always (rain or shine)

every fall I like to invest in an interesting trench coat — I am currently loving this split-back style and this wool blend trench.

the spring 18 edit

With summer and holidays right around the corner, I've started to purchase a few must-have things that I can't wait to wear all season long. When I'm not living in my favorite denim and a white or black tee, I live for a relaxed vacation wardrobe — i.e., coordinated sets, wide leg trousers, silk pajamas disguised as evening wear. There's something about these garments that says 'I'm on vacation and can't be bothered, but I still look chic.'

When I'm not also living in flat sandals, I plan on wearing these newly acquired slides by Loewe. I love the minimalist design, (navy suede) baby block heel, and most of all, how sharp they look with just about anything. Did I mention they're also on sale right now? I was easily sold. Below is a preview of my spring 18 edit. To see more seasonal additions visit the shop my style page.

the fall 17 edit

This season my fall wardrobe is as minimal as ever. Back in September, I did a big closet clean-out by ridding any last season basics that I no longer wear or want to update and replace. Since then I have been slowly filling my closet back up, but with the current hot-and-cold weather I'm still holding on to a few late summer pieces, too.

As always, structured blazers, turtlenecks and tapered denim are my wardrobe staples. This season I've added a few new staples with modern updates, like a turtleneck bodysuit or an oversized check blazer. I also always rely on trench coats, which act as the perfect transitional piece when you're not sure what to wear on a October 70-something degree day.

My favorite shoe of the season? Combat boots — worn a sophisticated way. Due to my strong love of 90s minimalism, and of course anything The Row, I recently purchased these silk boots and they 100% inspired my wardrobe for the upcoming season ahead. I think they're the perfect marriage of sophisticate and cool, and I couldn't be more in love with them. To get a similar look these or these are great options.

the summer 17 edit

A summer wardrobe doesn't have to be complicated, or made up of dozens of floral print dresses. My summer wardrobe this season is primarily made up of black and white separates with the addition of denim and neutrals. Summer is my least favorite dressing season so I rely on really, really easy basics.

I love the sensibility of simple black wide leg pants and a silk slip dress. These two pieces are so transitional and make the perfect additions to any packing list. To make a silk slip dress more casual throw a denim jacket over your shoulders at night, or pair a fitted white tee with comfortable black trousers and leather slides for a relaxed daytime look.
